1. Paris Gaels GAA
In 1997 - 1998, the first ever Paris Gaels GAA website was created.
Before that, in 1995-97, there were photographs by cameras only (no digital images , posters and match reports, before the days of the internet, digital cameras, or mobile phones. Email was not commonly used.
We have collected some of these images, posters and match reports for Paris Gaels - from the early year .
2. European GAA
Later we will launch the earliest European GAA (gaelic games) websites. The first was launched in 1998 fo for the International GAA event in Dublin, with European GAA being represented internationally for the first time -
Leading eventually to the inauguration of the European GAA county board in 1999. We cover details of this also - with a website revamp in 2000, and growing from a pocket of 5 clubs playing 7-a-side Gaelic Football at the Black Stuff 7's in Luxembourg in the mid 1990s, to approx 24 clubs (including mens and women) across Europe by the end of 2003.
